Bicycle Store was born from the idea of Bijan and Ester to create an unconventional bike shop in Lecce
— a complete store where every cyclist can feel fully taken care of.
A couple in both life and work, after gaining experience in various Italian and international cycling
companies, they wanted to bring their passion and expertise to serve their customers.
“Spreading the culture of cycling and sustainable mobility is our constant obsession. For us, biking is not just a job — it’s a way of life.”
Bijan attended a professional mechanic school in Germany for three years. He then enrolled in a two-year Master’s program in two-wheel mechanics to become a Master Mechanic, a qualification that also enables him to teach the profession.
Bijan gained extensive experience throughout his career. He worked for small and large bike shops, retailers, and bicycle manufacturers. He has experience as a salesperson, but above all as a mechanic and workshop manager.
Meanwhile, he continues to train and update his skills through various courses with Bosch, Shimano, Fox, and many others.

Bijan loves downhill and mountain biking. Gravel biking, however, is his new passion. You probably won’t see him at the next Red Bull Rampage, but don’t be surprised if you spot him “fully armed,” ready to tackle the most adrenaline-packed bike parks in Europe!
After earning her Master degree in Archaeology, Ester started working in Lecce as a bicycle tour guide. She quickly developed a strong passion for cycle tourism and began working with some of the region’s leading sustainable tourism organizations.
She managed a tourist office where she organized and curated tours and experiences, overseeing sales, bookings, and bike rentals. She created experiential tours and handled administrative tasks.
Her desire for international experience took her to Germany, where she learned the language and worked for a German tour operator as a travel agent.
If Bijan seeks adrenaline, Ester prefers the romantic and leisurely side of cycling.
What she loves? The sense of freedom that only a bike can give. Riding slowly to stay in touch with nature, savoring the silence, and reconnecting with herself. Or sharing breathtaking landscapes — and why not — enjoying post-ride meals with friends!
